Wasting another Sunday
Wasting my only life
Broke Like the sound of water
Drown and I'm mesmerized
You could be
You could be the winter
Cold as ice after all your falls
You could love
You could love your brother
Feel the dirt underneath your paws
And when you return from mountains
You thought you could never climb
We'll wrap all our arms around you
Your worries are now benign
Take a drink of this natural water
Contemplate why you ever lied
To yourself and to all the others
That's ok it'll soon be night
Searching for another one
Wondering if it's ever done
It isn't
Wish that I could dissipate
I've waited enough please take me away

For Samantha

Seldom the maker calls her back and takes her off what she thought was wise
Thoughts wrought with darkness
You illuminate my life
Bless these humble eyes
Glide through a pasture
You reach out and grasp my hand
How you tranquilize
Love you're a slow song
Coursing through my river
Peace in our exercise
Wake for the day might be it's last
Stand for the horns their piercing blast
They sound just for you

Glow Worm

Carving a path from the eastern shore to my reverie
I'm inching away into obscurity
Solemn and tired and brooding over most everything
I just want to wake and go about my life
I'm old and losing sight here
You light a path for me
Constantly searching for any trace of your lambent light
Reflecting alone out in the still of night
Rustling leaves and the fear of living a vagrant life
Your radiant love it cuts me like a knife
Glow worm you're doing fine today
(You take my pain away)
Glow worm you're feeling right today
(My words can float away)
Glow worm I see your light today
(It covers everything)
Out in the dark amidst the weeds
I know you're shining your best for me

Face Collage

Painting all complacent walls and spaces
Taking a blue mix in a bit of green
We cauterize all of these wounds still bleeding
Planting a seed watching it grow towards light
Suffer we may
But grow now we must
Time's fading/continuing on just as it always has
Walking a line
Shedding our skin and faces
Love on a path
Stuck on your favorite high

Bathed my skin in the forsaken light
I never thought I'd see the sun again
Hold me under just a little while
And pick me up when my lungs cave in
Give me peace and give me new insight
Or give me death and there to rest I'll lay
Restricted movement is my only plight
In my forest where I'm tucked away
Be gentle with me
Cause I'm just a tree
Tie swings round my limbs and be free
Quiesce strident thoughts
With slow harmonies
Our resonant pulse brings release
